You will receive your DNA collection kit on your doorstep within a few days of ordering. In this kit you will find everything you need, together with a detailed instruction, to take a good DNA sample of the mucous membrane on the inside of your cheek. After you have created an online account and registered your sample, you can return the sample free of charge using the enclosed return envelope. Your sample will be analyzed by a renowned and certified research laboratory in the Netherlands and your results will be put in your personal portal by us. You will receive an email as soon as your report is ready and you can view your personal DNA report(s).
From the moment we have received a sample back, it takes an average of 6 to 8 weeks before your DNA data is available. From the moment the sample is sent to the laboratory (you will be notified of this), it takes a maximum of 2 weeks.
Privacy staat bij Omniyou voorop; daarom sturen wij geen papieren versie van jouw persoonlijke rapport via de post. Alleen digitaal kunnen wij de bescherming van jouw gegevens garanderen. Wel is er de mogelijkheid om zelf het rapport uit te printen wanneer het rapport beschikbaar is in jouw eigen online omgeving.
Een aantal rapporten zijn alleen in combinatie te bestellen, dit heeft verschillende redenen: Nutrition+ en Athletico+ zijn alleen in combinatie met respectievelijk Nutrigenomics en Athleticogenomics te bestellen, omdat deze rapporten een aanvulling zijn op de basisrapporten. Somnogenomics en Stressgenomics zijn gecombineerd, omdat deze rapporten samen een beeld geven over de mentale gezondheid. Neancestry is een minirapport en is als los product te klein om apart aan te bieden.
Yes, you can do that via the store that you can find in your personal account. Once your DNA data has been activated in the Omniyou portal, you will be able to find all the products and reports available to you here. You do not have to submit a DNA sample again for this.
NOTE: when you If you have indicated that the DNA data must be removed, then you will have to submit a DNA sample again with additional costs.
You will find a barcode on the instruction card. Please keep this safe to access your online profile. In addition, a barcode is attached to the reply envelope which you have to stick on the tube with your DNA sample.
Your DNA data is pseudonymised and stored securely. As a result, there is no connection between your name and address and the genetic data, so that the DNA sample cannot be traced back to a specific person. We use this data only for updates to the report and the ability for you to purchase other reports and products. We do not share data with third parties and will never use your DNA data for purposes other than your reports and products. Only with express permission from you will we use the data internally for scientific research. Of course you can indicate to us that you do not want your data to be stored, we will then delete it. PLEASE NOTE: from that moment on we can no longer make updates and the reports can no longer be read in the portal.
You can request to have your data removed by sending an email with the request for removal, stating your barcode to. From that moment on, unfortunately, we can no longer provide updates of your report(s) and the reports will no longer be available online. If you want to purchase a new report you will have to send a DNA sample again with additional costs.
